Fourth graders are creating their face jugs this rotation. We watched a video on PBS where the History Detectives helped a woman learn where her face jug came from. The kids really enjoyed watching and then we had a quick discussion about how to construct our jugs. The kids were given one class period to make their jugs. We have not glazed them yet, but I love how expressive the faces are.
