Cave Paintings with Kindergarten

I did a fun center-style activity with my kindergartners this rotation.   I talked about how prehistoric people used the inside of cave walls to create their artwork on because there was no paper or written language.  We talked about pictures being able to tell a story.  Students drew multiple images in their short time frame.  They traced leaves and animal shapes, drew their family and then stamped their hand onto the paper.  This was to represent all the different things that would have been left as a sign that they were there.
